Godfather Fran was in town this weekend to celebrate mom’s birthday and I got a gift! A HOTDOG cookie!
Papa Nicolas gave me and mommy a surprise Christmas gift. It’s my very own doghouse that he made!! Now, I can hang outside under the sun and play on my grass. I wonder what mommy and daddy are getting me for my 1 year birthday next week! -Boomer
If your puppy is anything like Boomer, then no toys or objects are free from damage. Boomer has slowly chewed and gnawed through every toy, slipper, pillow, ribbon, sneakers, balls and anything else he finds appealing.
Here’s him with his mini tennis ball toy:
So for the first time in his life, Boomer met a cat. I always fantasized on how it would go down.
Would Boomer know to challenge a cat to an animalistic dual? Or would Boomer be naive and try to be friendly with the feline…
Well, Boomer approached this foreign creature (I’ll name it OG Cat Cat- because he’s kinda thuggish looking). Boomer tested his space boundaries by edging closer, then run away just to see a reaction and run back an inch closer to the OG Cat Cat. This cat- you could tell was OLDD and been through some tough times growing up in the hood. You could also tell that this cat didn’t give a shit about most things. During Boomer’s tease-run-taunt, OG Cat Cat was thinking “I’m too old for this shit.”
Then Boomer did a sneaky move and creeped up behind the cat….and sniffed it’s ass! Boomer thought this was another dog! After an awkward moment…
“I can’t believe that mothafucka sniffed my ass! What kinda foo is he?!” whispered the OG Cat Cat, under his breath.
“Seriously. Why did I just do that? How am I gonna show my face to the other dogs tomorrow?…”, thinks Boomer.
They are both very perplexed right about now.
THE END.

Boomer found his new hotspot- a vintage chair that I just got. He loves taking afternoon naps on this golden, velvet chair.
Boomer will be staying with his Godfather, Fran, for a month or so starting mid-October. I can tell, Boomer is already excited! A great chance for them to bond since Boomer has grown into a young man now. Plus, I hear his godfather has an awesome backyard, which is Boomer favorite space to play in! He’ll love NorCal, especially since it’s a bit cooler there and he can roam outside more.
Lately, he’s been having little rebellion fits here and there. Taking a little longer to come when I call him (though I’m very sure he hears me the first time). He’s testing his boundaries. So Godfather Fran is gonna have to step it up and show who’s really boss
Today was the first day that Boomer was successful at the ‘lift left leg to pee on tree’ move! Oh, I’m soo proud! No more of that squatting like a lil girl. But you know what? I can’t keep my hopes up. I’ll need to be patient with this transition into manhood.
Proud mom of leg lift pee-er

PS- Obviously that is NOT boomer in the photo above. You know I like posting photos, but couldn’t post one of him doing this because I didn’t have the camera with me. Plus, he wouldn’t want me to post photos showing his junk—all over the interwebs!

Boomer is finally settling into our new place in San Diego. It’s much warmer here so you’ll find him panting with his tongue sticking out. In our neighborhood, there’s plenty of dog friends! There’s even a dog park that’s just a few blocks away, so Boomer gets his walk and his business on.
He’s on a schedule:
9am- walk, do his business & have breakfast
12pm- pee break & lunch
playtime throughout the day…
6pm- dinner time!
9pm- walk, do his business
Hello San Diego!
My manhood is gone! I think I am what they call… ‘neutered’.
I went from this:
To this:
Vanae: It’s about the time in a puppy’s life to go on this rite of passage….removing his testicles to prevent testicular cancer and reduce hyperactivity and aggression (which Boomer doesn’t have). So one of Boomer’s balls didn’t decend, so they had to a do a longer surgery to locate it. Luckily, this ball wasn’t tucked into one of his organs!
He’s wearing the ‘cone of shame’ as pictured above and below…and will fancy it for 2 weeks before it comes off. He was on anesthesia and taking pain medication, which is making him lethargic and uncomfortable. After feeding him small amounts of food and water, he had diaherra shortly after. Hopefully, he recovers fast. – Anxious mom
‘I am so drugged out right now…that was damn good heroin’
Hi there! It’s me, Boomer. Now that I’m old enough, mommy lets me type on the keyboard and I want to say hello.
I’m big boy now. At night time I play ping pong with Uncle Ian, Uncle Josh and Godfather Fran. Chasing and finding the ping pong ball is so fun.
Mommy says I am the best ping pong boy in town!
Ok it is time for me to go nap now. Byeee
